Artist Statement: Students were inspired to create a piano that was a “Love Letter” to Philbrook Museum as it is one of Tulsa’s absolute gems. The piano highlights some of their favorite images taken by their art teacher over the years at Philbrook. Students chose different images to recreate on the piano. It was truly a collaborative effort, and their only regret is that time got away from them, and they weren’t able to complete all of the work they wanted to do. Students hope that Philbrook Museum knows how much they enjoyed working on “Timothy” (the name they affectionately gave for their piano.
