Hoover Elementary – Keys to Being a Leader

Hoover Elementary School’s daily way of life is founded on the philosophy of “The Leader In Me.” This philosophy is based on The Seven Habits and guides our school’s mission and vision. Administrators, teachers, staff, and students use The Seven Habits as a guiding force for making decisions about their own conduct and how to treat each other. “The Leader In Me” is a whole school transformation process. It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.

For our design, students participated in an art contest, submitting art works based on the 7 habits. Art works were selected and projected and painted on the piano. The leaves of the tree are the thumb prints of the students and employees of Hoover Elementary.
