Title of Piano: View of Our World
Memorial Middle school art students grouped themselves together while in class and came up with ideas and sketches. After all the ideas and sketches were turned in, I talked with the students about where each idea would go onto the piano. It was very interesting that student groups from each grade (6,7,8), that do not know each other, came up with similar ideas. The collective theme is Nature on the front and sides of the piano and on the back, a different way of seeing nature. Two students, Joyce ‘Jayden’ Munoz Umphrey and Jayln ‘Arson’ Benz 7th graders were the lead the painters and instrumental in guiding other students with the painting on the piano.
